1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Stax's Burger website (staxhouse.co.uk) or placing an order through our online ordering system, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website or place an order.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to place an order. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
You must provide accurate and complete information when placing an order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where we reasonably suspect the information provided is inaccurate or fraudulent.
3. Placing Orders
3.1 Order confirmation
A contract between you and Stax's Burger is formed when we accept your order, not when you place it. You will receive an order confirmation on screen and, where provided, by email. Order acceptance is confirmed when we mark the order status as “Accepted”.
3.2 Order accuracy
It is your responsibility to review your order carefully before confirming. We will prepare your order exactly as specified, including any ingredient removals or extras you have selected. We cannot guarantee we will be able to amend orders after they have been accepted.
3.3 Menu availability
All menu items are subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute items of equal or greater value if an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will contact you and, where payment has been taken, issue a full refund.
3.4 Operating hours
Orders may only be placed during our published opening hours. We reserve the right to stop accepting orders at any time due to operational reasons.
4. Prices & Payment
All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and are inclusive of 20% UK VAT where applicable.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price you see when you confirm your order is the price you will be charged.
Online orders must be paid by debit or credit card via our secure Stripe payment integration. We do not accept cash for online orders. Card data is processed directly by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
A delivery fee may apply to delivery orders. The applicable fee will be displayed clearly before you confirm your order.
5. Cancellation & Refunds
Once an order has been accepted and preparation has begun, it cannot be cancelled. If you wish to cancel before acceptance, please contact us immediately by phone.
Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:
- Your order is declined by us (automatic full refund within 5–10 business days)
- An item is unavailable and cannot be substituted
- There is a significant error in your order that is our fault
- Your order is not delivered within a reasonable time through no fault of your own
We do not offer refunds due to a change of mind once food preparation has begun. Please see our full Refund Policy for details.
6. Delivery & Collection
Delivery is available to SG12 postcodes only. Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide and are not guaranteed. For full terms, see our Delivery Policy.
For collection orders, you must collect your order from our premises within 20 minutes of being notified it is ready. After this time, we cannot guarantee the quality of your food.
7. Allergens & Food Safety
Full allergen information is available on our Allergen Information page. If you have a severe allergy or intolerance, please contact us directly before placing an order.
By placing an order and ticking the allergen acknowledgement at checkout, you confirm that you have reviewed the allergen information and accept the risk of cross-contamination.
8. Customer Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at hello@staxhouse.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Stax's Burger or its licensors and is protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stax's Burger shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or services
- Loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure)
- The accuracy of information on third-party websites we link to
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the total value of that order.
11. Prohibited Use
You must not:
- Use our website for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Place fraudulent or abusive orders
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from our website without written permission
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation
12. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no liability for them.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered customers of material changes by email.
